Tarbert Castle Tarbert
#1 of 2 Sights & Landmarks in Tarbert
The weather obviously helped but the vantage point was magnificent - pretty views of Tarbert harbour and the colourful one ships one way and out across the vista, back to Portavadie and the blue sea and hills beyond.
A fairly steep climb up from the harbour leads to a hill top castle in ruins but with superb views all round and interesting historical story boards.

The view of Arran and Bute are great and then you can walk down to the old graveyard leading onto a lovely beach.

The Kintyre Way
#5 of 9 Sights & Landmarks in Kintyre Peninsula
The Kintyre way stretches from Tarbert to Machrihanish, and crosses the Kintyre peninsula several times in its bid to reveal the best views and the best hospitality in the area.
For the more ambitious the 9 mile stretch of the Kintyre Way to Skipness is good walk, gaining considerable height en-route with great views if the weather is good.
