One of the most majestic palaces tucked in the city of Agartala . This massive white modern palace building is sprawling and has a magnificent display of the vast culture and heritage not only of Tripura but the whole of Assam , Meghalaya , Mizoram , Manipur , Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh . The tour inside is unguided and self explanatory.
The Royal Family of Agartala - Maharaja Bir Bikram Manikyas legacy and nature is reflected in various sections of the palace especially where they have displayed an entire wall panel on the royal women folk which is seldom found in Royal palaces . This reflects the immense respect and regard they had for the women in society and the respect the women had in the society .
An outstanding contribution and achievement by the Royal family in developing Tripura and especially Agartala into a modern day thriving city .

Heritage Park is a captivating oasis adorned with stunning flower gardens. The vibrant blooms create a kaleidoscope of colors, adding an enchanting touch to the park's ambiance. Moreover, the presence of miniature historic monuments of Tripura is a remarkable feature that truly sets this park apart. These intricately crafted replicas provide a glimpse into the rich heritage of the region, allowing visitors to appreciate the cultural significance in a unique way. Heritage Park beautifully combines natural beauty with historical charm, making it a must-see destination for flower enthusiasts and history lovers alike.

Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Bishalgarh (Sepahijala District) which is around 25 kms from Agartala.
It is spread across a large area (18.5 square kilometres). There are lot of attractions such as Sepahijala Zoological Park, Botanical Garden , Boat Ghat , Log Hut, Butterfly Garden , Nature Learning Center etc.
The Zoological Park which is around 4.5 Kms from the Main Gate accommodates a variety of Birds, Primates and other mammals. It is famous for Clouded Leopard and Spectacle Monkeys. Although we couldn’t spot the clouded leopard but could see the playful spectacle monkeys.
It took us around 2 and half hours to complete a round around the Zoological Park. There wasn’t enough direction instructions inside the park so we kind of roamed around directionless.
There were lot of greeneries in the Zoological park. We could see a lot of animals and birds. Enjoyed a lot. We could only explore the park as we reached late and were short of time
We felt a little bit of maintenance and facelift is required to make it a famous place for tourists.

    Helpful Tips
    1. Reach as early as possible. Sanctuary opens at 8 AM in the morning and closes at 4 PM
    2. It is open whole week except Friday
    3. Entry ticket is Rs 20 per person and separate tickets are required for vehicle and other spots ( park, botanical garden etc)
    4. Canteen is available inside the Sanctuary (near the Zoological park).

Fourteen Goddess Temple is in Old Agartala and is primarily frequented by Tribals of the area. The temple is built by Maharaja Krishna Manikya. We saw animal sacrifice being performed at this temple. No offence to the beliefs of the people who perform such sacrifice but if you are one of those types who find the same not acceptable than the same can be avoided.
