What travellers are saying
- Tomo16vLinz, Austria136 contributionsWhat a beautiful spot! Had some surf lessons there. great for beginners but also for the more advanced. there is also a surfboard rental on the way down to the beach. fair prices and super nice staff!Written 13 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NoeB1Antwerp, Belgium1,206 contributionsI was staying in a house not far from this beach. I could go by foot trough the hills, a wonderful walk from about half an hour. In april the beach is very quiet and nice to spend an afternoon. You can do a beach walk and walk further inland. There is a bar with sun almost all day. At the other side there is also a bar but there is only sun on the terrace early in the morning.Written 16 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bruce GPortimao, Portugal579 contributionsA beautiful beach. Very popular but way off the beaten track if you are not living in Aljezur. Big white-sand beach with rocks at on end and overlooked by stunning cliffs. Parking is limited.Written 10 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Emilie BFaro District, Portugal1 contributionThis place is gorgeous without doubt! Long wide beach with great opportunities for surfing! The only thing is for the van life people and campers out there, this is not the place to stay overnight. Apparently it’s a rule that you have to leave the site before 22:00, if not you might end up meeting the GNR that will not give you a warning but a starting fine of 120 euros which can go up to 600 euros( learned it the hard way) the system is complicated and what makes it even more difficult is that there is no obvious signs of this nor easy to find online.. other than that it’s a great place to spend you day🫶🏻Written 28 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A FLondon, UK195 contributionsWould have been nicer if the local idiot hadn’t tried to run over the Mrs and then told her off. Spectacularly views from the top though.Written 25 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- jonfromcincinnatiImperial Beach CA80 contributionsLocated on the west coast of Portugal (south) but still in Algarve. You will not find a more spectacular beach: wider than wide, very few people, clean soft sand, manageable surf that is conducive to swimming/low key surfing, beautiful cliff backdrop and coastal rock formations. It does not get better than this, especially considering the masses of people who throng to the southern beaches. A bit of a tricky dirt road for the last few miles of your journey but not dangerous. Pretty easy walk down to the beach itself from parking areas. A couple surf schools work out of the beach as well. No other services. The absolute best beach we visited during our trip to Algarve. I’m sorry, all the Algarve beaches are NOT amazing. No others came slightly close to Praia de Vale Figueira.Written 11 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heather CRingwood, UK26 contributions€2.12 buys entry to all Aljezur's museums - excellent value for money. Two ladies were working here, & took great pains to make sure that we didn't miss any important items.Written 17 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - miles93Exeter, UK45 contributionsAn excellent small municipal museum with three sections of local history, including the early Arab period. The curator is particularly friendly and helpful. We spent about an hour there whilst walking the well marked town trail.Written 16 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Morgan M5 contributionsWe had the best riding experience with Yvonne. The views from the cliffs were beautiful and horses very well trained. We had one experienced rider in the group who was allowed to canter ahead at points while the others walked or trotted. Yvonne was very knowledgeable and friendly, horses well cared for. Highly recommend!Written 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
