- Animagus123Bengaluru, India58 contributionsBird park with huge enclosures. We will be in the enclosures with bright and beautiful birds. One can feed the birds and they will fly all around us, sit on our hands and shoulders. Lovely experience, especially for kids.Written 25 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- captrcrajanChennai (Madras), India171 contributionsThe visit to the waterfall was highly anticipated, however the actual visit was disappointing.
There was no information about the distance and time from the start of the walk till reaching the water fall. The gradient is rather steep. However, thankfully a few benches are provided at intervals.
This is especially necessary when senior citizens and children make the visit.
Mobile connectivity is poor.
Further the steps are broken in many places and become dangerous so are the handrails.
I hope corrective steps are taken by the authorities to enhance the pleasure to see the waterfall.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DrValliappanCoimbatore, India10,670 contributionsBoat House in Yercaud is famous and is the centrally located tourist attraction as in all other hill stations in Tamil Nadu. February is off season and so, less crowd with open hours restricted to 10 AM to 6 PM. Entry ticket sales stopped at 5 PM. There are two person pedal boats, six person row boats (both self-operated) and manned motor boats for groups of 8. For the latter, we paid Rs 700 plus tips. Shirt round around the lake is fun (safety jackets are a must here) and tourism department of TN government maintains it well, clean and safe. There are clean restrooms and cafés too inside boat jetty area. Most enjoyable spot in Yercaud.Written 15 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gana59 contributionsTemple is very small and it is located inside a cave. You have to watch your head while going inside and during exit. Best thing about this place is the Valley view and lot of space available for playing. Too many view points and nice place to click Photos. Worth visiting during the evenings and when you have the mist around the place. It is really worth going there multiple times to see the mistWritten 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EASWARCHANDRAN PMumbai, India136 contributionsIt is said that Sri chakra Maha Meru temple in Yercaud is the Asia’s largest Chakra temple.
It is an excellent temple in the 32km loop road situated at around 7 kms from Yercaud. The road leading to this temple are in excellent condition.
This is a fairly new garden temple maintained in an excellent condition in the midst of pepper and coffee plantations.
The main deity here is goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari.
The deity is very powerful and beautiful.
One can easily feel the positive vibes on having a darshan of the main deity.
The darshan gives you immense satisfaction and peace of mind.
The tower over the sanctum sanctorum is in Maha Meru style which is unique.
The bird’s eye view of this tower will resemble the shape of Maha Meru.
There is a beautiful and well-maintained garden around the temple which adds to the attraction of the temple.
Life size wooden carvings of other gods present in the inner parikrama are beautiful.
These include carvings of goddess Saraswati, Lord Vishnu, Lord Siva etc.
There is a separate shrine for Lord Dakshina Moorthy inside the temple complex which is worth mentioning.
One can perform meditation if they wish so.
Overall, the temple was neat, beautiful, peaceful and well maintained.
One should not miss this temple when in Yercaud.Written 3 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Entrance fees should not be charged as the entry way is very narrow and not well maintained. But after entering, it is really awesome Vally view and seats are provided to take some restWritten 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ExpensiveChickenPieCoimbatore, India51 contributionsThe plantation tour is an enriching experience and worth a visit when in Yercaud. The drive through the plantations is nice and learning about the coffee growing and processing is interesting. - aski_onlineBangalore District, India260 contributionsThis one comes first on the loop road after the horticulture and botanical garden. It’s a small temple, just on the road site with few steps to climb. Parking could be a big challenge during peak time.Written 21 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ashishBengaluru, India289 contributionsNice scenic natural park. It's very big and not all parts are maintained well. Good for long walks. You can buy plants as well at very cheap prices of about 30/- each.
Entry fee is 30/- for adults and 15/- for kids. Parking is free here but you need to pay 40/- near the Boat House for a common parking ticket. Entry ticket includes the ticket to Rose Garden as well which personally I will recommend more than Botanical Garden.
Between these 2 parks and Children Seat sunset point, you can spend 2-4 hours easily.Written 2 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
