It’s hard to classify this tour - it’s better understood as a cultural experience - learning the history of the island from the people and the flora. Yes you walk through rainforest and yes chocolate is a key element but the beauty of it shines through the hosts’ love of the island and its special power, and the invitation to bring out your own manna to share. Realistically Maui is in fifth gear most of the time and this experience will slow you down and make you savor the time you spend there. Jesse was a superb guide. Highly recommended. …

We had a wonderful hike with auntie, who told us the story behind the reservation and the current steps the group is taking to preserve the rainforest. It is a fairly easy hike and you get to learn about the benefits of cacao and get a chance to make your own chocolate. Highly recommend for those who are looking to do something that is outside of your typical tourist experience while in Maui!…

This was a wonderful three hour experience in sacred Hawaiian land. Beautiful trails, rare and large plant material and trees and an amazing waterfall. Jesse was our guide and he could not have been any better. A special treat was his beautiful bird Apache, who has about 100 words. The Chocolate demonstration and samples made the day complete. Jesse brought fruit from his trees to share with us and other treats too. We loved it.…
