Te enchanting view of the slope of tea gardens with spellbound greenery undoubtedly present attractive view. The focus of the workers in the field makes you ponder over the hard labour involved to make your cup of tea so refreshing!

A wide variety of tea is available for purchase. The tea gardens and estate are quite small. Quite a bit of littering in the garden was visible. Easily accessible once you drive past the war memorial.

We were staying at the Lodge at Wah and had a complimentary guided tour of the tea gardens. Set-up in 1857 the 500+ acres Wah tea estate, one of the finest in class is being managed by the fourth generation of Prakash family. With explanations given of the tea making process. Loved seeing some of the original machines set-up as displays. The best part was the tea tasting session, where we got to taste around 15-20 different types of teas, each with its distinctive aroma, flavour and mouthfeel, and even buy some of the best home-grown varieties. In the process some of our misconceptions/myths about tea got debunked. Well worth a visit. If you want to meander in the tea gardens, keep an umbrella handy.

Good tea gardens but not comparable with high slopes tea estates of Munnar or Darjiling... Scattered at many spots.. Low slopes...

The best attraction of Palampur are its tea gardens. Though not as well maintained as the Darjeeling or the Nilgiri tea garden yet the lush green environment with well pruned bushes is a sight to watch. Surprisingly the gardens are not visited by most tourists and you can take a nice stroll through the narrow trails or sit down under one of the tress with book in hand! Mesmerizing

Many people are not aware that Palampur and surrounding areas have many tea estates and tea gardens .Even though these are quite small compared to the estates in Assam etc ,the quality of the tea is comparable to the best in India.
One can go for a walk via the small trails in the garden, the more enthusiastic ones can visit the HP co-operative tea factory to learn about the history of tea and buy various types of teas there .
During plucking season it is a lovely sight to see workers with the baskets ,definitely worth seeing when in the area.
