Many people are not aware that Palampur and surrounding areas have many tea estates and tea gardens .Even though these are quite small compared to the estates in Assam etc ,the quality of the tea is comparable to the best in India. One can go for a walk via the small trails in the garden,the more enthusiastic ones can visit the HP co-operative tea factory to learn about the history of tea and buy various types of teas there . During plucking season it is a lovely sight to see workers with the baskets ,definitely worth seeing when in the area.…
