The beach has just bathing boxes. Colorful and vibrant yes but not that exciting to me. Worth staying and going here if you wanna take some photos

Very cute and colourful bath houses! Come here if you love to take photos. It’s about a 10-15 minutes walk from the car park. There was lots of people chilling and having a picnic. Would recommend visiting if you’re in Melbourne.

We visited here through day tour and only 20 or 25mins are allocated to see this place. Had a great time taking photos with the colourful bathing boxes until we lost track of time! I think is a 'been here see it' place. Interesting but unlikely worth a 2nd visit.

It amazes me thta these boxes are considered an attraction
Sure some are painted nicely but they are just a small shed on a beach
Even the owners don't seem to use them much . Maybe that is Melbourne weather?

Lovely place to visit and easy to get to by train from Melbourne CBD. Worth getting here early to avoid the crowds. Nice water side path to walk back along to St Kilda.
The Bathing boxes are great to view and take pics of.

It was a lovely beach. The bathing boxes were amazing to see (something I was looking forward to). It was very busy and windy on the day we went. We didn't swim there, preferring to go back to a beach closer to our hotel to swim.

Getting here involves an uncomfortable walk across sand that is absolutely covered in shells, but it is definitely worth it to get some good photos. If you're visiting here purely for photography, make sure to come early to avoid getting lots of people in your shots. I arrived around 10:30 and there were already a few groups of people around. You can also get some good shots of the Melbourne skyline from here.

A place that’s always been on my bucket list to visit and it didn’t disappoint. The bathing boxes are colourful and quirky, and most are very well kept.
Please note though at the time of our visit, the closest carpark was shut, with the nearest dedicated park 1.6ks to the north. We found a park in a side street just across the road and it worked perfectly.

Adds interest and colours to an otherwise featureless beach.

Originally constructed for a time where bikini is considered indecent. This is for those who still want to change into bikini. However they can only sit within the bathing house and watch from there.

Now instead of looking out, we look in. Kind of.

The Brighton Bathing Boxes are one of Melbourne's most endearing attractioons. The Bathing Boxes are privately owned, and are often handed down within a family. They often change hands for astronomical amounts when they come on the market, The Bathing Boxes are located on Brighton Beach, which is a public beach. Brighton is one of Melbourne's most affluent suburbs. The Bathing Boxes are brightly coloured; while you can't enter them, they make great selfies.
