Dendy Street Beach is an area within Brighton Beach and boasts the particularity of its 'Bathing Boxes' or colorful houses. We got there from Brighton Gardens through a wild path in the middle of the vegetation.
The beach has golden sand (a little rough) and little infrastructure. At the time I went it was very calm and despite the unfavorable weather, we were able to do a good walk.
From its shore you can see the city buildings.
I think it's a normal beach. Its main attraction, without a doubt, is given by the colorful little boxes to the point of being a hyper-photographed curiosity.
1 km away is Church St with dining options and some shops.

It is a nice beach and this visit attracted a range of people interested in the 82 iconic and colorful beach boxes. Enjoyable and worthy of a visit. The beach is OK but typical of those along this stretch of coast.

The Dendy Street Beach is the location of the iconic 82 classic, colorful Victorian heritage style bathing boxes, with the wooden frames, weatherboard sides and galvanized roofs. It is just south of the Brighton Beach and just north of the Brighton Beach Station. It is worth strolling this beach which is one of the nicer ones around the bay, apart from the bathing boxes with clean sand and gentle sloping access into the water. In 2018, a red and white one sold for $337 K.

This beach is famous for the colorful little house-boxes in a row on part of the beach. In July when we visited it was cold and windy so it was a little surprising how many people came to the beach to watch the sunset. It was really beautiful

The Dendy Street Beach is one of many beaches down the Bay that is sandy, clean, and safe. There are public facilities here and the famous bathing boxes to look at.

Nice walk to the beach, take the bus to Dendy Street, easy walk, check out the homes on the way. Enjoy!
