Run by volunteers this Museum even has an Iron Lung chamber that was used when divers got "the bends" Amazing displays. One of the curators, Norma, told us lots of interesting things about the early XRay department at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women. You could find some weird medical treatments from the past among the old medical books waiting... More

just visited this museum after driving past many times admiring the building. worth the visit. there is an honesty box at the front and a visitors book. each room displays a different topic and rooms are numbered. very interesting history, even half of an old royal flying doctors plane. we were totally left to ourselves which we liked.

Firstly lets get a few things out of the way. The photo currently with this entry in trip advisor is NOT of the WA Medical Museum. The address however is correct and if you look it up on google you'll find the map to it. And you may want to print it out as it can be a little tricky... More
