About
The museum is open to the public from 2pm to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and other times by appointment. School and other group visitors are very welcome.Situated between the city's Administration Centre and the library, Rokeby Road SubiacoThe Subiaco Museum has a collection consisting of several thousand objects, documents and photographs, all of which have at least a part of their history in Subiaco. Some items relate to the area's Aboriginal people, while others were brought to Subiaco by settlers from Europe and Asia. Some have a history of several generations in Subiaco.Interpretive displays and special exhibitions are available for public viewing, and are changed on a regular basis. Thematic displays of items from the collection are shown in the museum's four galleries and hallway - also in the Subiaco Library and the corridor to the left of the city's Administration Centre reception desk.

We had visitors from Canada who are very interested in local history. would be nice to see it expanded a little more. a few little tables and chairs with offerings of cold drinks (to purchase) would be a good idea especially now the weather is warm. certainly brought back fond memories of a simple but good Subi life. Sadly that has gone, we now are all about boring .......banks, and empty shops.

A lovely little trip down memory lane showcasing a time passed. Subiaco was a busy vibrant place before excessive rents and sky high parking costs sucked the life out of the main streets. Well worth a look

Interesting both for residents & visitors.
Small but gives an outline to the area which is helpful & informative. Domestic room was a nostalgia trip for older people from anywhere! Staff around to help if necessary.

If you live in Subiaco and haven't been - why not??!
It is a cute little museum that is a fun outing for a date, friends gathering for fun, or a family outing. A lot is packed into this small museum that you could easily spend and hour browsing. Seeking something to do for fun at no costs, then add this to your list.
Tourist seeking to view some fascinating facts, it is a cute one to explore. No costs, no loss.

We visited with our young baby and enjoyed the recent exhibition trams and trade. It was interesting to see how Subiaco has changed over the years and how transport has made the area vibrant. Looking forward to the next exhibition!

This small museum in the inner city Perth suburb of Subiaco is a nice enough little time filler or if you just wish to walk off lunch. The displays are mainly about the history of the suburb and there are your usual collection of 'olden days' household items on display here as well as a range of information boards that let you trace the history of the area.

All up this is a well presented little affair that is perfect for if you are just wanting to kill some time in Subiaco.

Subiaco remains a small suburb of around 50,00o people. The museum does it's best, staffed by volunteers. Really, it is only of (limited) interest to residents. Quite honestly, if driving through to somewhere else, it's not worth stopping.
