The Akshaya Patra temple (or the Radha Vrindavan Chandra Mandir) is open till 1pm in the afternoon. So, after visiting other temples (normally closed by 12.30pm), one can come here and save afternoon time. This temple is located on the outskirts of Vrindavan and spread in a vast area near to the ISKCON temple. The Akshaya Patra temple is dedicated to Lord Radha Krishna. ‘Akshaya’ means ‘never ending’ and Patra means ‘A container’. Thus Akshaya Patra is defined as the container that is never empty. The temple here has established a huge kitchen with large machines and huge containers for preparing food for thousands of school children to provide the mid-day meals to the poor children who are studying in the schools in nearby villages and districts. The temple is built by the ISKCON Bangalore and the scheme to feed the poor children has also been started here after its huge success in Bangalore. The temple is built in the form of a blooming lotus reminding of the lotus feet of Lord Krishna. The altar for the deities is located inside the temple on the first floor. On the altar are standing the beautiful deities of Radha and Krishna carved out of white marble. When we reached here Bhajans were reciting. One can donate here for the food for students.

We went to celebrate our kids birthday there and saw what an organised and great service are they doing for the kids. Roughly 17 lakh children are being givenif day meal from the mega kitchen at the place. If you donate which you must as per hour capacity u visit the state of art mega kitchen which prepares not good for children. The place is complete picnic destination with ample parking good security place to keep shows and beautiful lawn and cafe to roam arnd. Radha krishna and prabhupad Don the main temple. It's a must visit site. Other attraction is the under constr chandrodaya mandir which would be world's tallest Lord krishna temple. Revel in the excellence of Vrindavan.... Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna hare hare Hare rama hare rama hare hare.
