Very nice to walk in. Luckily it was not too crowded when we went in. The hanging bridge was very nice. We saw decent amount of birds. But not as much as we saw in Curi Cancha.

My girlfriend and I spent two days here with a birding book and a pair of binoculars. It was rainy out both days, but we still saw tons of birds! I hope that everyone who visits is as lucky as we were with sightings. The highlight of the trip was the resplendent quetzel, emerald toucanet, and the slate throated red... More

Had a wonderful guide (Jesus), and we saw a sloth, a armadillo, tarantula, green snake, sleeping toucan, honeybadger, and many more Note - our daughter who does not like bugs, was not a fan of the hike. Highly recommend, as a must do activity while in Monteverde.

The tour started off on a terrible note. They told us to be ready at our hotel lobby at 7:30pm for the 8:00pm tour. I even rushed my bf while he was changing into more comfortable clothes since he had been in shorts all day. I am making a point to not be late. We're Asians, and I hate to... More

We booked our trip trough Monteverde Lodge and Garden (probably a bit more expensive) and they picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. It is a short drive from Santa Elena, and it was only the two of us plus the guide, so it made it more special. We saw two different type of mammals (do not... More

A night tour is the best way to see wildlife in the Monteverde area. We have taken this tour twice now and found it to be excellent. The area covered is small, but there are a lot of animals roaming and resting there. We saw a sloth that was actually moving (relatively) rapidly from tree to tree, a kinkajou, two... More

This is a great place to see the Kinkajou but that's not all. By night wildlife changes their behavior, so I would say it's a must go. We had the chance to see many Green Palm Pit Viper in hunting position, tarantula, Kinkajous, many bitds and insects.

Very interesting walking tour of the Cloud Forest. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to show us coatis, birds, lizards, insects and lots of specialized flora. Cool and misty, great, well maintained trails.

A good walk through the jungle in the evening. Chris, our tour guide, did a great job pointing out different wildlife including snakes and a Pikachu. Was a great start down in Costa Rica
