We saw so much wildlife on our 3 hour walk. It really was amazing. The guided walks are only twice a day so we missed out on that but even by ourselves we saw a lot. The people in the office were happy to recommend...More

This reserve has numerous trials that go through primary and secondary forest. A wide variety of wildlife can be seen at this location. We've seen bell birds, agouti, yellow frogs, quetzals, woodpeckers, tarantulas, butterflies, hummingbirds, oropendulas, and more.

We had an excellent tour of Curi Cancha starting at dusk and lasting for two hours. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and showed us things we would never have found on our own. I recommend it for families with kids who love nature walks...More

One of the highlights of our entire trip was hiring naturalist Jorge Marin to show us around. He is so knowledgeable and charismatic, and taught us a lot about photography and our cameras. Really recommend getting a guide because obviously they know where to find...More

This was the only cloud forest we visited in Monteverde. Lots of trails and not many people. I strongly recommend hiring a guide. Without a guide, it's just a nice hike through a cloud forest and you will miss most of the flora and fauna.

if you dont hire a tour guy, it is hard to see birds, get rain coat ready, it is huge place, we walked 2.5 hours

We took a guided night walk, the groups were small so it was easier to see and hear lots of different things. Beautiful forest with easy walking trails, friendly staff and not overpriced! Ask for JC - he was a great guide!

This reserve is just as good as the Monteverde Cloudforest Reserve. The landscape might be a little different from the actual cloudforests, it is really beautiful nonetheless. You can see many animals here too. I saw a pitviper, coatis, an agouti, a motmot, a mottled...More

We were recommended to come here on our first day, so that we could do something in a short time. It is very simple with a map showing different paths you can take. We saw our first Toucan here!

This may be late, but others might read this so my response is that you do NOT want to explore the cloud forests on your own. The guides know where to look and what to look for and, without them you will miss the majority of... More

Curi Cancha is much more of a natural setting and they do have some great hummingbird stations not too far into the park. There is also a free hummingbird feeder station at the entrance to Monteverde reserve. There are some... More
