Very informative tour. There is a bit of walking up hills. The sugar cooking area and processing are true antiques. We learned so much about coffee here. The guides are friendly. At the end we were treated to coffee and a taco made from a local root.

We took this tour in April 2017. The tour covers coffee, cane sugar and chocolate and they explain that the farm concentrates on coffee with the cane and cocoa only being there for demonstration during the tour. Very interesting and informative tour done in a fun way with lots of samples and hands-on experience. Younger children would love the ride... More

This was a nice coffee and cocoa plantation, the guide was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke English very well. We sampled some delicious sugar can, coffees and cocoa at various stages of the process towards chocolate. It also included a sample of rum! And you leave with a huge chunk sugar that has been melted then hardened (a hard fudge-like texture).... More

The best tour I have ever been on. If you are lucky enough to get Diago then you will be in for a treat. You will learn, laugh & taste. He is informative, knowledgeable & very funny Good group participation which were a mixed group of ages and nationalities You even get to take some molasses home 😁

This was a great family tour. We learned a ton about the processes we'd been driving past as we toured the Costa Rican countryside. It was great to learn how they process sugarcane, cocoa pods and coffee beans. You get to sample just about everything they produce as part of the tour. Well worth it, highly recommended.

We visited with our 2 young boys aged 9 and 6 on a very hot day. My husband loves coffee and my kids love sugar so we were hoping for something for us all. Our tour was quite large but it wasn't a problem , the guide (the owners son) was great , informative and fun. It turned out to... More

We were initially concerned about the tour group size (15 in our group with one guide) but that did not become much of an issue. This tour is advertised to include three parts (sugar, coffee, chocolate) and this was a fair representation of the tour. For each product, we saw in a little factory space how raw materials were processed... More

Even if you have been on coffee, sugar cane and chocolate tours before, take this one. Our guide was the Costa Rican version of Yakov Smirnoff; knowledgeable and funny. This hands-on tour also teaches you a lot and tastes good too! Enjoy!

We had a great time on our tour! Learned a lot and got to taste everything along the way. Our guide was full of information and very funny! Went on the morning tour and had a nice small group, didn't feel rushed! Would recommend and is a must do for the area!
