Calm and quiet walk up the hill yesterday. Stunning views and great to see the gliders up close when they were getting ready at the top. Lots of sheep grazing so keep the dog on a lead but other than that a fantastic walk!

Great up close experience of a historic landmark. Also able to walk around the accompanying hill fort. Stunning views from 700’+ above sea level. Free parking & dogs allowed on leads. Hi

White horse in Westbury is one of the eight horses in England. It is majestic and the view from the hill is stunning. A must to visit

I loved seeing the horse up close and personal and the admiring the amazing views. It was also really interesting to see paragliders so close. Well worth a visit.

Ideal for family picnics, dog waking, with a bit of history thrown in. Very easy access by two roads to the top. Wonderful views on a fine day. Great for walkers who wanted to walk uphill and down.

We stopped in the viewing area near Westbury which had a few information panels about the White Horse. Very nice for a quick pit stop.

Yes if travelling to Exeter/Paignton/Plymouth etc. from London the White Horse is visible especially if you sit with your back to the direction of the train. The White Horse is about 3 mins out side Westbury and 15 mins past... More

There is a car park, but you have to realise that this is a chalk escarpment leading onto Salisbury Plane. The horse itself is on an angle of 60 degrees maybe more. You will have to cross a small road, go over a style walk... More
