Fascinating insight

Well managed trip through the life of Rene Magritte even though some of the more famous works are elsewhere.

Very large crowds which takes away from the experience a bit, but the collection is excellent and well worth visiting.

Really great museum with amazing art. The exhibit tells you the story of Rene Magritte as you see artwork from that period in his life. Very much worth seeing.

If you've already visited Magritte's Museum in the center of Brussels, it's also interesting to go to Jette (Brussels) and discover the house where Magritte made half of his art production. We were warm received by a nice young lady who told us about the curiosities in the house, including the day by day objects he made surreal and mysterial... More

Even though you do not find the most famous paintings here, there are so many valuable stuff that would tell you more about Rene Magritte. The museum has put a lot of energy and attention to enhance your understanding about Magritte. The temporary exhibition for recreating some of his destroyed paintings that no longer exist is certainly worth visiting.

Set in one of the houses of Rene Magritte this museum is quite simple. Basically see and old house and some simple memorabilia of the painter. Lots of stairs, no wheelchair accessible.

If you love Magritte don't miss this! It's fascinating to see where he lived, how he lived, and to see how his work was influenced by this. We also went to the Magritte museum and seeing his house made it that much more fascinating. Definitely recommend! 8 euros per person but worth every penny.

There isn't any original artistic work. It's interesting only to understand some element that appears in his pictures. It's difficult to join the place without a car.

Dear Madame, thanks you for your visit in our biographical museum. It's true that visitors may be disappointed not to see the big oil paintings of René Magritte in our museum. Nevertheless some original works are available on the second floor of our museum: landscape of his youth, portrait, 3 surrealist watercolours, many original drawings. Our exhibition presents a private... More
