We did the mistake of not asking for the price before entering and where ripped off, ending paying 2,000 rupees per adult. The snakes were beautiful but the price asked was unfair, especially for a party of 8 people.

We had to make a tiny detour along the winding roads that fell across green paddy fields to reach this place marked with great accuracy on GPS. It was the residence of a local traditional physician with experience on snakes and venom-related treatments. He had...More

What a great afternoon. The family are very welcoming, and from the minute you get there its snakes galore. Loved holding all the snakes, except the poisonous ones. Well worth a visit, you get to learn about all the snakes.

Less of a snake farm and more of a snake encounter, you get to sit on the snake man's porch and hold and encounter a range of beautiful snakes. We were a family of 5 with only myself not being afraid to touch and hold...More

It was an interesting trip, the snakes were really cool and we could hold them when they were not poisonous. The guide was very nice, but could not explain a lot, because the English wasn't that good. But if you are interested in snakes it...More

The Snake Farm is an up-close and authentic view of Sri Lankan snakes and the third generation practitioner who provides free antivenom to workers and laborers in the fields. It's a feel good adventure activity and is a great excuse to head inland if only...More

This is a good place, if you're interested in snakes, if not, youll find your time a little bit boring. The guy who owns the place has a big variety of snakes, from cobras to little harmless ones.

The snake farm is open from 9am to 5.30pm every day. The guy who runs the place is a local called Vipul. There is no explicit charge for visiting the farm, but he welcomes any donations.
