2Mai is such a beautiful place. I have been going there for a very long time now. Over the years I've seen a huge increase in tourists which is helping the locals. The saddest thing is that the tourists are actually ruining it. They come on weekends, play, party whatever it is they do and then leave the place in... More

A little village on the Black Sea Coast, a few kms away the Bulgarian border, nice beach, never very crowded, a lot of place to play or swim in the water, many places to eat (including some of the local hosts). It has a camping area, a little nudist beach area, not much of a night life (but Vama Veche... More

The village is nicely situated near the Bulgarian border. It has nice guarded beaches, but not so big. 2 Mai, even though there is a high season, seems sometimes abandoned. Some clubs and restaurants are closed and seems to be collapsing. But the most important problem is Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries factory which is located actually in 2 Mai. It... More

2 Mai is a very nice place to go to if you are looking for peace and quiet at the seaside. Originally a fishermen's village, 2 Mai has recently become a destination for families that go camping and other budget travellers. Well known for nudism. I like Micul Golf (the Little Bay) for the atmosphere. You can have a nice... More

I like to spend some weekends in 2 May , not only for reasonable prices but also for special rustic atmosphere and good restaurants around. If we want to go to another beaches, in less than half an hour driving you have many other options. There are many good pensions with affordable prices.

The food is great, the seashore is nice, the people are calm. "2 Mai" (in english it is called the 2nd of May) is a nice place to stay on a holiday with your family. It is close to Vama Veche.

If you want to see how people live in fishing villages come here :) You can spend a day walking around and seeing undeveloped beaches.

I was here in July with my kid. Nice family beach, with algae in the water (not than many), a few places for purchasing food. Clean water.

2 Mai is a well developed village right by the sea on the road to Bulgaria. It has a relaxed and local feel to it with all the amenities of a tourist resort without being too commercial or touristy. It is about an hours walk from Mangalia. It's a far prettier than Vama Vech which isn't a town but more... More

If you want to live in a village you should visit this place. It's not modern or fancy, not even a traditional romanian village. Just really cheap and good for people that cannot afford more but still wanna see the beach. Beware of gipsies!
