Highly recommend you call into the Windorah information centre, the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Lots of brochures, gifts and free Wifi. They also offer you free coffee or tea. Ladies keep up the good work.

Went here twice on way to and way back from Birdsville. Closed both times unfortunately. You think with all the extra people in town they would open earlier to help the travellers

Very friendly and helpful. A nice small place with alot of information and items to buy. Free tea and coffee is offered.

We camped on the Thompson at Coopers crossing caught many fish and had a great time. We then went to the caravan park for 3 days to replenish supplies plus do the inevitable washing. Also went to the pub and had a really good dinner....More

Lovely lady made us hot tea in real mugs, chatted and gave us directions. She also sold us a beautiful painting done by a cousin and 2 patchwork cushions made by a local lady. Then go see the sand dunes.

As we drove into Windorah we were happy to see an information sign. Stopped and were made to feel very welcome by the lady in charge on a Sunday afternoon. Tea and coffee, and a chat were immediately offered. Very friendly, informative and welcoming information...More
