Jetavana and for the matter Shravasti is not so easy to reach, at-least not mainstream when it comes to public transport, but if you can make it to the place, its definitely a good visit. ASI has done a fabulous job of maintaining this place clean and tidy and the devotees have tirelessly kept this place as neat. The remains and the very fact that Buddha spent his 24-25 years at this place speaks volumes. And while you are there, try to talk to a devotee, they have interesting stories to tell about the place.
Pro Tips:
1/ Carry your own food as there are no decent eating options nearby (closest would be Bahraich which is about 40+ kms from the place)
2/ No decent lodging options, again look upto Bahraich if at all
3/ Not too crowded, so one should plan to have some time to enjoy the calmness of this place - 2-3 hours is not a bad budget
4/ Not much public transport was visible, so would strongly recommend to reach early, pack your lunch, and leave by late afternoon.
5/ The place is like a big open air park, no shade from rain so winters are the best time.

Jetavana (Jathavanaramaya) was one of the most famous of the Buddhist monasteries or viharas in India.
It was the second vihara donated to Gautama Buddha after the Venuvana in Rajgir...
The monastery was given to him by his chief male lay disciple, Anathapindika. Jetavana is located just outside the old city of Savatthi.

Visited legendary Jetvana monestry where Buddha spent 25 monsoon seasons and preached. A wealthy merchant Sudatta purchased the land for the monestry from a wealthy seth called Jetti Seth. The place also has a popular tree planted by Sudatta. It's known as Boddhisatva tree. It's a peaceful, calm and quiet place.

This is one of the must important places in Buddha's life. He passed 25 monsoons here in Jetvan vihara. Vihar site has been such a nicely preserved & maintained by the ASI. Kudos. Anandbodhi tree inherits the oldest roots of all bodhi trees. Several monasteries built in different eras bespeak of the grand historic past of Buddhism. People meditate here for long hours. Buddhists throng here mostly from South East Asia. A must-see.

This is the place where Gautam Budh spent 20 years of his life. You gonna find more foreigners rather than Indians. Very attractive and full of history. It's very big and it will take atleast 1-2 hours to complete this.
