This is a great park for families. Although the sites can be quite close and small, the local campers are mostly families and respectful. By 11pm every night the place was quiet. The staff keep the facilities clean and in good repair. The lake is shallow, sand bottom and clear. The best part of this park is that they also... More

I have been to many provincial parks and I run a blog that reviews provincial parks. I kept hearing how wonderful this park is so I was very disappointed when I got there. People that say this is a great park must not ever get out to the ones that are truly great. I stayed on campsite # 386 for... More

This was our first time to this Provincial Park and I only have Algonquin to compare it to so here goes. Most camp sites were a good size with 2 picnic tables and trees for shade. Some of the other sites I noticed had hung tarps for privacy . They have several short flat interconnecting trails. The beach was sandy... More

Stayed on site 170. 30 second walk to the water, comfort station, water taps and front gate. The park is very compact to walk around. Sound travels easily because this section is canopied with trees. Was very humid as it was very hot while we were there but better than being in the full sun and nice privacy wall of... More

We gathered at Mikisew Provincial Park in July 22, 2016 and although it rained all day, we still managed to have a fire all day and had lunch and supper there with my brothers. We celebrated an anniversary, three birthdays, and just being together at camp. We're planning to go again next year. We took silly pictures , we laughed,... More

Why won't the park patrol do something about the excessive noise the animals make? Loons going all night. Chipmunks making the noise they do. Some kind of bird rummaging through leaves. The park should be renamed "Daddy Long Legs" Provincial Park. Literally everything ended up with one sunflower seed sized spider on it. Even showered with them. In seriousness, the... More

Wicked long weekend with the entire family. Washrooms got very disgusring over the long weekend but they make a huge effort to keep them clean which is really nice. The staff patrols a lot which i like...they are friendly and non invasive so you wouldnt even know they are there. It is nice to see them around making themselves available.... More

Just got back from our Mikisew trip. Really amazing park. If you like to be close to the main office, along with convince centre (shower, bathroom, laundry), choose the 100's. Love the park and staff is great. Fishing on Eagle lake is hit or miss. We got lucky and caught a few large mouth bass. Good eating!

Love to camp. Put up our shelter and opened our cots. Had a great electric site. My husband is disabled so the camping cost is 1/2 normal rate. Weather was great. Went swimming in Eagle Lake along Eagle Lake Road about 2 km from Mikisew. There is a ramp there for wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Gradual slope into the water so... More
