A stepped walk through the trees leads up to the covered viewing area. There is a huge wooden bench with buttons to press to hear a selection of Brahms’ music while enjoying the glorious views & perfume of the pine trees.

The pizza is not Italian kitchen style…the ingredients and the dough were not well prepared… so I don’t recommend it to you😡

It was a short and very nice walk uphill through the woods. From there, we continued our walk for a hour or so, very nice landscape.

The friendly tourist office at Portschach suggested we hike up to this viewpoint and gave us directions how to get there (not well signposted, but you just follow a path from near the fuel station). It's a relatively easy climb, took us about 30 mins to get there, with some beautiful views as a reward.

Great hike up the hill (250 steps of sometimes steep stairs), but the view is well worth it. Breathtaking!!
