Went for a 3-4 hour hike/walk here through the beech forest with a nap at a hilltop church. A beautiful place with fields of rapeseed/canola in front of lush green mountains. Overall, quite an easy walk though there was one steep part of the trail that could give some people problems if they have mobility issues. I think we did... More

We walked from Olot through the forest to the volcanos of San Margarida and Croscat. Even in March it was quite warm so take a hat and suncream. Such fresh air and the countryside is so gorgeous! 20 km of heaven ...

This is a peaceful and quiet beech forest where you can go for a walk or take a seat on a stone and rest. I think it is more beautiful in autumn. Also you can go with your dog.

We walked here without even knowing what the word "fageda" meant, just for somewhere to walk to. It means "beech," we learned. The beech woods are situated on a volcanic area, and are incredibly beautiful in winter - stunning at any time of year, I'd imagine.

The Fageda d’en Jorda is not your everyday forest. We visited at about noon on a beautiful, sunny, December 2, after most of the leaves had fallen. As a result, the rolling ground was covered in rust-colored leaves, punctuated by dark green moss-covered volcanic boulders. The trees stood like densly packed, thin, tall white and gray poles, catching the sun... More

It is hard to find such a flat beech forest. Despite being quite young and with few very ancient trees, walking there on late autumn is a good experience. Try to avoid weekends since are crowded. Some track are not well signalled.

From Hotel Riu Fluvia there is pavement walkway until reaching the entrance to the park on the left. The walk, although not on the level, is not taxing. There are some narrow roadways on route. So be aware of vehicle traffic, especially on bends. You pass various farms and pasture fields. Animals grazing. You should allow about two and a... More

Beautiful forest, a good start-point to walk to several volcanoes (like Santa Margarida or Croscat). Try a well indicated circle route (num.1), easy to walk with kids, it takes you about 3:30h.
