We visited with (2) 12 year olds, (1) 14 year old, grandparents and 4 adults. We all loved the boat ride and the caves were beautiful. Only problem is we didn't understand Greek so no idea what the history is of the caves. Spectacular caves...More

Not the best cave system in Greece and rather over-priced BUT you get transported around the caves in a flat-bottomed boat, and that makes viewing a pleasure. If there is a long queue for entry (there wasn't when we went) then, frankly, I would give...More

They do not make it clear that if you don't speak Greek you may need to rent an audio, but this wasn't an option they tell you about when you buy the tickets. Big lack of communication here which is unfortunate because it is so...More

This cave has easy access and most of the tour is done by boat. The guide was the boatmen and he let the cave do the talking. Fascinating way to do a tour with an easy walk out which we were able to take our...More

A magical boat trip through the caves makes this a bit different from many cave visits. Unbelievably quiet and peaceful.

Travelling by small boat for around 25 minutes to view these beautiful caves was an eerie experience. Low ceilinged and close quarters around many turns, left me feeling happy to see daylight again.

We had a tour of this cave in 1987. It is an interesting and spectacular cave with many formations so I imagine it is so now.

These caves are definitely worth visiting, even for someone, like me, who was initially reluctant. A commentary would be a useful addition

We arrived at around opening. There were no lines. At first the guy stalled saying "20 minutes" likely hoping others would show up. We got a bit restless after 40 mins but enjoyed taking photos of the area. We eventually got a couples only tour...More

Set in a stunning location, just overlooking the sea, the caves are worth every penny. Every hour a boat set sail along the tunnels for a bit more than a kilometre, showing what nature can do. The visit will speak louder than any pictures. Piece...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
In mid-August, is it mobbed with tourists after 12noon, making it impossible to get seats on the boat? Is afternoon out of the question? Thanks!

Can anyone please tell me, is the tour around the caves suitable for a person with breathing difficulties? ie; is there any uphill walking at the end of the tour back to the car park, I would very much like to visit but don't want to struggle! thanks for any help & info, Alan.
