Darwin Expediciones are great! We have been on 2 of their boat trips and both were excellent . The staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The wildlife is amazing. I highly recommend these excursions. They are the best trips we have done in South America so far- and we have done a lot! Much better than Punta Tomba or the... More

We spent an amazing time in Isla pinguino. Roxana is the best guide she would even translate all her explanation in French, she was so happy to share her knowledge. This is definitely Patagonia's best attraction in my opinion I'd love to come back. We've also seen the delfins.

Puerto Deseado is a slog to get too but the effort is worth it for this trip. Penguin Island with Darwin was the highlight of our three week trip to Patagonia. Roxana and her team manage to provide what is almost an impossible task - close views of wild life without disturbing their habitat. We sat for nearly an hour... More

Thanks to the very professional and friendly services of Roxana and Ricardo we saw an amazing array of birds and sealife, cormorants (grey & black), various gulls, oyster-catchers, petrels, Magellanic penguins. The half day at the Isla Pingüinos was excellent, the Rockhopper penguins are so amusing and you can sit there unhurried watching them go about their daily routine. Also,... More

Isla pinguinno was the best trip in our life. As soon as we arrive to darwin a very kind lady welcomed us with a beautiful smile. She was also our guide during the trip. With such a knowledge of the place and fauna Roxanne explained in a very didactic way and in all the languages with pacience and great sense... More

We changed our travel plans in order to visit Puerto Deseado to see the rockhopper penguins. Puerto Deseado itself is nothing special. There's very little for tourists if you don't enjoy trekking. And there is limited choice of hotels. However, the day out to Penguin Island with Darwin Expediciones was worth the detour. So well organised & the pilot, Ricardo,... More

With a tour to Pinguan Island you have a chance to see the unique Rockhopper pinguins which is the only place in Argentina you can visit them. The tour is great! You'll spend a lot of time on the island very close to the pinguin colony with a 100% change to make great photoes of these lovely birds. There also... More

Simply a great way to make the most of this Patagonian spot as concerns natural settings. Lots of fauna (dolphins, seal, different types of penguins), an abandoned lighthouse, a great boat ride, and a well-planned meal make it a lovely day out. Highly recommended.

One bigger island packed with Magellanes penguins, a colony of cute rock-hoppers, lots of predator birds, male sea lions and the occasional sea elephant (that we missed out on Peninsula Valdez because they were already gone back to sea). And you can walk among them, watch them in their natural habitat and take countless pictures! On the smaller rocks in... More

It's a long trip, about 2 hours, but it worths each cent. It's an island with several species. We saw the rock-hopper penguins, those with a yellow crest, at a few centimiters. They walk beside you, hopping from one rock to another. There is a lot them, and the classic Magallanean penguins too. When you are in the highest altitude... More
