Took the route opposite the school. Is a bit steep in places. Came down the easier route.

This place is a must see when you visit toraja land. Fantastique.

The surrounding is very good, the air is fresh, the water is cold and clear, its very refreshing. I suggest you to cook yourself, u cant rely on the local food, i find it tasteless.

Went here on June 2017 and the view was spectacular. You can enjoy the green scenery from the top of the hill with traditional toraja coffee.

This is a very nice walk from Batutumonga to the Gunung Sesean 2150 meters high.. The trail is fairly easy to find and follow, in the middle of the village of Batutumonga. Even if you can not find the marker, there are often people around who could show you the start of the trail.
The trail is well trodden and easy to follow, with very good views from most parts.
There are few steeper spots and then you will be passing a camping spot popular with the locals, who come here to watch the sunrise.
The views from the top are quite lovely; with a 360 degrees view of the scenery of the local mountains, rice fields, villages with the tangkonans.
The round trip is between 3-5 hours, depending on the pace and how much time you spend enjoying the views.
