It's a lovely walk through the bushes and going down to the falls, the stairs are uneven and a tad risky, if you have the slightest mobility issue, I'd advise against it. It's busy but people are courteous and understanding. There's something about nature that brings out the best in ppl. For that reason, visiting is a must. We went... More

Visited the place on 04 January, 2017. The mountain view is breathtaking. There is a small cafe. Service at the cafe was good. The toastie ordered was delicious. Asked for tea and was perfectly served in a kettle and a proper cup (and not in a mug). The drive to go there was scenic. The 10 Kms towards the destination... More

As the title suggests, what more could you want + all for nothing. Information centre and signs explain the type of walk..short,long etc how long it will take. climb up the viewing platform, try + pin-point the various places below you. Terrific view on a clear day, turn around + the mountain, in all it's majestic glory, is right behind... More

I chose to visit Dawson falls instead of doing mount damper falls (mainly due to travelling time and the fact the access road can be tricky at mount damper). I wasn't disappointed. Although Dawson falls isn't as big as mount damper falls it's a wonderful and very accessible waterfall. You can view it from the platform opposite the falls and... More

We walked from the Stratford Plateau over to Dawsons Falls and I would definitely recommend doing it this way. Otherwise there is a car park a few minutes up the road. From the Plateau car park, we walked through the bush past Wilkies Pools to the Falls and then looped back through the Goblin Forest. It was an amazing walk... More

The steps down are tricky and not the safest but it's worth it as is gorgeous when you get there. Beautiful falls. Good exercise!

This was a great experience for mature aged couple. The walk down was impressive with weeping moss from trees and the luck of going early morning before the rush. Had the falls to our selves to enjoy the energy and magnificent moss growth .. The challenge was the first 3 flights of steps back and finding a exit access to... More

Dawson Falls is really off the beaten track which makes it fabulous if you are looking for nature and quiet hikes. There are two accommodation options in Dawson Falls: A rather expensive (more luxurious) lodge or the DOC owned Konini lodge (which offers everything a traveller needs: kitchen facilities, tidy bathrooms and spacious sleeping rooms). Plenty of walks are available... More
