Lake Ballard - only 51 km from Menzies, 20 km of bitumen and then 30km of well looked after "dirt", was in excellent condition. The 51 sculptures are spread all over the lake and we visited as many as we could without getting too muddy....More

Very interesting to see the Sculptures and walk around them Can be muddy underfoot depending on recent rain fall Bring plenty water to drink and sunscreen

We drove to Lake Ballard in a 2 WD car , road is orange gravel & was easy drive. Also depends how wet the road is from rain fall. Locals very good at advising on road conditions.

My daughter has taken her dogs out there without a drama. Not sure about camping with them though, best to check with Kalgoorlie Touriat Authority.
