The tour was totally customized. The accommodations were superior! You must stay at the Yellow Barbet Tent Camp! Ask for a VIP room and have a bathtub to go back to after a dusty day on the Serengeti. The foods was outstanding if anything too much both in quality and volume.

Our guide Magoma was the best. He know the routes and roads; he knew the animales and could spot them before we did. We had a number of half days a planned that made the whole trip very relaxing.

We visited the classic safari locations of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Gnu migration area, Manyara, Arusha, Olduvai, and Tarangire. The animal viewing gem turned out to be Lake Ndutu where we saw 3 lion moms with 8 cubs ages (2) 4 mos, (3) 3 mos, and (3) 1 mos. We had them to ourselves for an hour!

We did side trips to Lushoto and Babati to visit friends one of whom is a Peace Corps Volunteer and teaching physics.

ATGEL HQ talked to our guide multiple times a day. They were in daily contact with us to see how the trip was going.

Bottom line - Best Trip of my Life!

Africa Top Guide coordinated our 3 week trip to see a bunch of sights in Tanzania - Serengeti, Ngorogoro, and Tarangire safaris, a stay at the incredible Yellow Barbet Tented Camp, hot air balloon ride, touring Maasai villages and other cultural tours, and finally a trip to a Zanzibar beach resort. The group of guides were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and obviously skilled - we weren’t sure what to expect, but ended up feeling so safe adventuring over rugged terrain with our 1 and 4 year old kids on safari. (thanks, Guide Magoma - best friend of our kids!) We saw so many animals including a very lucky experience watching wildebeest crossing the river during the great migration (and one narrowly escaping a crocodile’s jaws). It felt like being plopped into an episode of “Planet Earth” and was truly an unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience. For a large group traveling with ages 1 to 65, with most being their first time to Africa, they managed to be so accommodating and well coordinated to squeeze in all the adventures we asked for. Checked so many things off our bucket lists. I could not recommend them more!

ATGEL provided my wife and I (and our extended family of 16 adults and 3 toddlers) 26 incredible days of trekking, safari AND relaxation! We believe Top Guide more than lived up to the name, not only sharing the best of Tanzania’s sights, hospitality and accommodations with us, but truly guiding me through a major personal health crisis and probably saving my life.

From the fully-certified safari guides, to the hired city-drivers, to the porters and hotel and dining staff, every person went many extra miles and hours to make our every experience in Tanzania enjoyable and safe. As would be expected in travel to rural Africa immediately 'post-pandemic', there were mishaps, including my health crisis on Kilimanjaro, KLM Air losing all our trekking gear, and unplanned vehicle repairs. Not to mention entertaining grumpy crying infants AND seniors over hundreds of miles of safari roads. But through the entire holiday, our Top Guides (and ATGEL management) coped with every contingency with humor, wisdom, and kindness, so we never missed out on a single minute of the best times Tanzania had to offer.

We left feeling as if they cared for us as their own families and we can never repay them for their kindness to each one of us. We hope you, too, will be able to experience the wilds and warmth of Tanzania and its people with equally wonderful care from truly the best guides we've met anywhere.

If you want to go on Safari, Africa Top Guide Expeditions is the best way to go. Your enjoyment is 100% their "Top" priority. Going through Tarangire Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti we saw the most beautiful wildlife! Top Guide made me feel comfortable and welcome in Tanzania even when we were only feet away from a pride of lions!

We traveled in a large family group and Top Guide made sure to accommodate us regardless of complications. Even during inconveniences, Top Guide were professional and kept us safe and satisfied. Every single place we visited was unforgettable, and my only regret is not spending more time in Africa.
I learned so much from the culture and the team felt very personable. The experience felt genuine and real, which is exactly what I wanted.

No doubt, this is absolutely the way to visit Tanzania.

Top Guide Africa did a great job organizing our trip to Tanzania. Everything from climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to a safari in Serengeti we did not have to plan anything. Even when our luggage did not arrive before we started hiking these guides brought our luggage to us on the mountain!! They also arranged to get us rental gear until our gear arrived. They went above and beyond to make our trip a once in a lifetime experience

To me, the mark of a good tour guide is taking care of you when things go wrong that are out of their control. That is exactly what Africa Top Guide did for me. After my flight (not associated with Africa Top Guide, of course) lost our luggage, Africa Top Guide helped me find rentals for everything I needed, and shipped my luggage to me while I was climbing up Kilimanjaro. Absolutely lifesaving. After an amazing hike up and down the beautiful Kilimanjaro, I was treated to a wonderful tour of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Tarangire Park. Everyone was very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and very patient. I do not even want to think about what my trip would have been like with a different tour guide, and I will definitely pick them again when I return to Tanzania. Shout-out to Dezzy, Yusuph, Living Stone, both Davids, Godfrey, Penny, Josiah, Rama, Hassan, and everyone else who helped make my trip amazing.

Asante Sana, Africa Top Guide!

Went on an 11 day trip in January and every detail of the trip was seamless. We spent the first 5 days hiking Mount Kilimanjaro via the Mandara route, and the next 6 on safari (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater). I was particularly impressed by the quality of tour guides. They were very knowledgable on niche animal wildlife and country specific information.

The ATGE team has 20+ years of experience in the tourism industry, and knows the ins and out on how to put together a highly individualized and fun itinerary. We saw many large tour companies that seemed too commercial and overpriced, whereas ATGE was much more personal and tailored towards what we wanted to make of our trip. I can not recommend them enough.

Our four weeks in Tanzania was an absolutely phenomenal experience. We had a few towns on our list of places to visit because we had friends currently living there. Dezzy from Africa Top Guides was a pleasure to work with to do the detailed planning of our trip. Excellent suggestions and great guidance on what other places to visit. We communicated via whatsapp and iteratively discussed options and decisions. Dezzy made all the hotel reservations and lined up our amazing guide/driver, Magoma who was extremely knowlegeable and a very interesting travel companion. I highly recommend Africa Top Guide. They are resourceful and well connected and while we saw many vehicles having to stop and deal with automotive issues this did not happen at all to us proving they keep their equipment well maintained.

What an adventure! We can't thank ATGEL enough for organizing such a perfectly personalized safari adventure for our honeymoon. Our 6 day safari took us through Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti, and ended in Ngorongoro Crater.

We saw more lions, giraffes, zebra, wildebeast, elephants, and more than we could keep track of. We even got some great glimpses of leopards and cheetahs with their young. If that wasn't enough, we also had the luck to witness a pride of lionesses hunt a warthog! Our guide was an expert at spotting animals and he seemed to have a special knack for getting our jeep perfectly positioned to view the wildlife.

Through it all, ATGEL was so easy to work with. When we were designing our itinerary, they made sure we got the best experience for our interests and for the time of year. For example, when I mentioned that I love elephants, they recommended we visit Tarangire since it's known for large elephant herds, especially during the dry season. Plus, we'd get to see the striking baobab trees. All of their chosen accommodations were beautiful and placed us in prime wildlife viewing locations. We heard lions and hyenas as we slept, and we woke up to impala and monkeys in camp. Lastly, the cherry on top was when we realized they had surprised us with a custom "Just Married" tire cover made to put on the back of the jeep along with matching T-shirts. It was unforgettable!

Thanks so much again ATGEL! Hopefully we can come back again!

My partner and I were in Babati, Tanzania, this summer, visiting some old friends and their families. We wanted to go on some day trips and have some adventures together, both to celebrate our seeing one another and to make some new memories, especially for my friends' kids. AFRICA TOP GUIDE helped us plan and enabled us to experience three incredible local excursions: an outing in a canoe on Lake Babati, in search of hippos; an ascent into the fog forests of Mount Kwaraha, by foot; and a barbeque at the bottom of Tururu Falls. All of these trips were nearby, affordable and spectacular. They were also all comfortable and enjoyable for our group made up of participants of various ages, and with different levels of comfort and different relationships to Tanzania. Thanks to AFRICA TOP GUIDE—we couldn't have done it without you!
