I and my family saw the sound and light show at Tawang War Memorial on 4/10/23. The ticket costs Rs 50 each and the show lasts about half an hour. The show rotates around the evolution of Arunachal and it's history together with the role played by our armies to protect the sovereignty of India from foreign aggression. There are many heroes of the war who fought till death. Overall good but a better presentation could have been done.

This war memorial is in memory of those who laid their lives for their motherland. Fought under inhospitable conditions. The story of their valor and bravery is told in a sound and light show every evening which is not to be missed.

The name of every soldier who gave up his life is etched here. A true tribute to our brave soldiers.

Just visited the war memorial at Tawang ,reached at 4:15 so we’re obviously too early..takes 10 mins to look around..had some great cream roll and muffins at Korean bakery
Then around 4:40 pm we went into the amphitheater and requested the army men to let us in.. show starts only at 5:40 pm but seats are limited!..don’t know if we were smart or plain dumb as we froze ( 6 deg cel : real feel 3)but the scenery was magical at the backdrop and we had the best seats( only view)..more about seats later
Lovely patriotic songs played while we waited for start time.
The video clip filled my heart with emotional patriotic feelings and I could not stop the tears that rolled down at the end of the short film when we all arose for the National anthem theme music.
What a sacrifice made by the Indian army!
A must visit for non Indians as well but arrive at the right time so you get seats!
I think there is another one past 7 pm
About seats: civilians are to take the plastic ones as Sofas are reserved for the Army Officials and their families..likewise with portable heaters. And rightly so as they are. the ones who will fight for our safety in not so peaceful times!..Do visit!!
