Largely unknown and virgin place, deep in the forest of Tawang, Nuranang Falls offer a pristine and beautiful experience. One of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, the Nuranang Falls are a beautiful….. white sheet of water that descends from the height of 100 meters approx. Part of the Nuranang River which originates at Sela Pass, Nuranang Falls is largely unknown to the popular tourist trail making it an offbeat and tranquil spot. A day tour to the Nuranang Falls while on your journey from Tawang to Bomdila allows you to have some relaxed and enjoyable time by the waterfalls. The scenery around the falls is dotted by high hills all around, covered in thick greenery and mist hanging about caressing the hilltops giving you total tranquility and joy.
Also popular as the BTK waterfall, the Bap Ten Kang has crystal clear water which elevates your spirits & gives you real glimpse of the beauty of Arunacahal.
At the entrance of falls, you can visit the Hydel plant, which generates electricity for the nearby areas utilizing the force of the falling water.

The fall is located near a village called Baap Teng Kang (BTK) which is approximately around 80 km from Tawang. The difference between the Nuranag/ Jung falls & this fall is the sheer height from which the water drops into the Nyam Jang Chu which originates from Tibet. However the volume of water is very less during non monsoon seasons. The visit can be clubbed with the visit to Zimithang ( approx 90 km from Tawang) . One can visit Lumla, BTK Falls, Gorsam Chorten & Zimithang and again fall back to Tawang on the same day. The altitude at these locations are less than that of Tawang & the weather is very good. Picnics & lunch in the open can be planned. A word of caution, some of the photos posted by other users are of Nuranag/ Jung falls so weigh your options if you are critical one time.

To go this waterfall a slight detour is required to be taken. One has to walk down quite a bit but fairly easy as steps are provided. This is a beautiful waterfall.Nearby there is a small hydropower generating unit of 6MW .As we had been there just after monsoon it was full of water but after February water may just trickle down

Go here only if you are on way to zeminthang else it is quite far away. Traveling is tiring. We were on way to zeminthang, but unfortunately we did not get permission to stay which spoiled our plan. So better to find out if there are any chances that you will get of not getting permission.. those who have never visited any valley will like it other's won't. Instead try to visit nurunang waterfall again and it is far more beautiful them these.. else go to madhuri lake side again if your car is allowed.

Native people were saying the water from this falls is not good for our heart so people usually wont get inside the water. But we did entered into the water. Nothing happened to me so far. It was so cold, foot was paining almost frozen. If you are an adventurist, you must try this.

It's not Victoria Falls or Iguazu Falls, but is still fairly impressive and a good way to break up the drive to Tawang.
