What a fabulous place for kids (and adults) ! So many games to play which could have kept us all entertained for hours to be honest. The chateau has games throughout to keep the kids interest while the grown ups peruse the beautiful restoration works.
The cafe was fab with lots of lovely food and drinks and the kids loved seeing the horses and ponies.
We didn’t do the Labrinyth as the kids needed proper shoes apparently (and it’s a 1.5 hour walk through it). The staff were so friendly and an extra special thank you to the ‘princess’ in the bedroom who did our 3 year old hair and dressed her like a princess. Would really recommend ! 😍

We really enjoyed our visit to this castle. It is fun to look around and to read about some of the history.
You can access the castle and the fun lawn games for one price or you can pay extra for access to the labyrinth.
We only did the castle and lawn games.

Beautiful castle and a perfect hostess. Wonderful opportunity to have a good look at this stunning place as they got everything ready for Easter.

Whilst the château is certainly beautiful, on the day we visited the stables were an absolute disgrace! The horses and ponies had been left to stand in their own urine and droppings and were clearly in distress. We could see no signs of food or water in there and it was 32C. I found a member of staff and raised my concerns and his response was blasé at best - he said the horses were let out into the fields at night and the stables would be cleaned in the morning (it was 4pm when I spoke with him). It was evident from the state of the stables they hadn't been cleaned in days and the horses hadn't been attended to either with most of their hooves caked in urine-sodden straw. This came at the end of our visit when we were already concerned about the rabbits we'd seen which had large clumps of fur missing.

A visit here is well worth it if you are in the area! We were staying just up the road so couldn't leave without a trip there!
I honestly wasn't sure how it would go with teenagers but they honestly really enjoyed it!
The highlight for us was the Labyrinth! It was great fun trying to work out all the clues & complete it.
The medieval games in the Chateau grounds were also good fun! It was nice to spend some time doing something a little different!
We also had a wander around the chateau. We spent around 3.5/4 hours here & if we hadn't of been so tired from the labyrinth we would have spent longer!

We came wit the kids and had a wonderful time exploring the old Chateau and it's history, the fat chickens and huge bunny and the medieval games spread across the lawn. We did not have closed toed shoes so the labyrinth was out for us. We came back two days later and loved solving the mysteries and roaming through the forest for clues, so a great family activity. Suggest the sporty path in the labyrinth unless you have very small children

This is great for the kids and adults, both inside and out. We lost hours here playing all the different games. Well worth the visit and the ££.

The Chateau essentially has three parts to it, the main house along with the front lawn that has loads of wooden games for kids and adults to play. Then there is an Mysterious Valley that has a walk that apparently takes up to 2 hours where you are given a sheet of paper and you go and find clues, we didn't do the walk as it was warm and the kids were already moaning.
The house and games cost 9.50 per adult , 7.50 for 11-18 year olds and 6.50 for 4-10 year olds. The walk costs 7.00 per adult , 6.00 for 11-18 year olds and 5.00 for 4-10 year olds. If you buy a joint ticket for both then you can save a couple of euros on the overall price. There is plenty of parking in a field opposite the entrance and if you arrive early there are some trees at the end that will give your car shade all day.
After arriving at the entrance you go through to the lawn area where there are absolutely loads of lovely wooden games for both adults and kids, we must've spend a good 90 minutes just out here playing on all the games. There is a great mixture for all ages and lots of the games are under the shade of trees which makes it good on a hot day. We would've stayed longer playing out here but it was a hot day and around lunchtime and we found some shade under a tree and had our packed lunch, there are some picnic tables near the entrance but they were all taken.
Inside the castle there are toilets, a small cafe that does a small selection of food and drink and some nice (but expensive) ice creams that appeared to be home-made. There are just five standard flavours of ice-cream and all appeared to have dark chocolate on them, they were delicious but maybe not too all young persons taste. We then explored the house and there are loads more games dotted around the house along with some stables that contained horses and rabbits. A welcome visit into the lovely cool cellar and jail on the hot day meant we stayed in there slightly longer than we would've normally.
There is a really interesting story to the house so it is well worth reading the information boards that are in both French and English. The Chateau is not to a 'National Trust standard' but then it has only been with the current owners for the last 8 years who have done an amazing job renovating it after years of neglect. Overall I would certainly recommend visiting here, especially with children, as there is so much to see and do and the games are just a lovely and simple way to keep them amused.

We spent a day here exploring the maze walks, enjoying the grounds with a large variety of games for kids of all sizes, and then touring the chateau and especially their games room with traditional indoor entertainment. Kids and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed the day. You could bring your own picnic but the lunch we had was lovely and not expensive. The quiches were particularly nice. Would highly recommend.

We went with our 13 year old son, his words were “fun and entertaining”! We spent a good few hours there and had the much mentioned quiche for lunch, which didn’t disappoint. We would have stayed longer but it was far too hot!!!!

Bonjour, l'achat des billets se fait sur place sans problème ; nous y sommes allé un jour d'affluence vers 14h, il y avait du monde et nous avons fait 10 minutes de queue mais l'achat à l'avance n'aurait rien changé !

When I was there the grassy grounds around the castle, where the outside games are, were rather dry and therefor, I would think, not too difficult to negotiate.
The castle is a different story.

Yes there is a café selling home produce, tea, coffee and soft drinks. It can become very busy and they also have a tendency to sell out by mid afternoon

Bonjour
