Absolutely fantastic time riding the horses, the horses are well loved which you can see through the interaction with their owners. The evening meal was beautiful and the views on the ride were simply stunning. Highly recommended

Me and my 14 year old daughter really wanted to take the daytour that is offerred on this Tripadvisor website. However, the next day was fully booked but also our last chance to even take a tour at all. Even on websites of other excursion providers, who offered the exact same tour, it was no longer available. After a live chat with an employee of Tripadvisor, who could also not help me out or offer me an alternative, I decided to visit the website of Finikia Horseriding itself. We were only able to take a tour the next day and the 'morning' daytour was already fully booked. On their own website however, I was still able to sign up for the tour, for the next day, so I did. Within minutes I received a reply on WhatsApp from Irene (daughter of the owner). She told me the "morning" daytour was full, but that they have 2 tours a day and that we could still join the later daytour or 'Sunset tour'. I couldn't be happier at that point! Irene was very helpfull and friendly on WhatsApp. She answered my questions and asked me about our riding skills. We even spontaniously exchanged a few jokes, so the ice was broken right away 😉 The next day we were picked up by the owner at exactly 17.00h at the main entrance of our accommodation, as agreed. We went by two other hotels to pick up other participants. The owner is a likeable, easy going man, who never seems lost for words, speaks his mind and who has a good sense of humor. When we first met I instantly knew we would have a good time. You can tell he really cares for his family and their business, his horses, animals in general and the people who come to experience horse riding in his riding school. The horses look well cared for and healthy. When we arrived at the farm, we also met with his wife, his daughter Irene and two staffmembers. We started of by gathering a helmet. Outside, at the riding arena, were the horses were waiting, already saddled, the owner gave us information about the tour. He showed and instructed us the necessary basics on how to treat and ride the horses. Again, he asked each of us about our riding experience. According to our experience we got assigned to a horse for the ride and were individually helped with mounting our horses before we started the tour. B.t.w. the horses have the most unique, even hilarious, names that You've probably ever heard 🙈. The tour itself was guided by two staffmembers on foot. They held the horse of a little horse the whole tour. You can tell they know each horse well, which made the ride very easy going and relaxed. Maybe, every now and then, a horse reacted to another horse by putting his ears back, because the other horse came too close. But nothing scary or dangerous occured. If you feel uncomfortable in any way, you can just let them know and they will figure out a solution with you. Their aim is to make sure you have a nice and positive experience. After an hour we had a break. Irene came to us and joined us at this stop. She brought drinks and pieces of orange for everyone. She stayed during the break, interested to hear about our experience so far and just to have a chat with us. Some people got a chance to do a short canter accompanied by one of the staffmembers on a horse. After that everyone got back on their horse and we rode the same way back to the stables. Being in the mountains you don't get to see a sun set on a horizon, as one might think, but you do get to ride in the mountains during the sunset which is also really nice. The owner met us towards the end of the ride and accompanied us back to the stables. Once we were back, we got to say goodbye to our horses before the owner and his staff led them back into their stables. Outside a table was set for us and we got an extensive meal with, for example, different sorts of meat, a salad, warm vegetables, tzatziki, bread, fries, their really delicious homemade wine, some raki and water. We were 'ordered' to eat well and always ask for more if we wanted to. There was more than enough food for everyone! We had ice cream for dessert, that is, if you were able to catch your plate with your ice cream still on it when the owner threw it at you 😂. The owner even had a special (his own?!😏) 'ice cream-ritual' for a couple of newlyweds in our group. All together we really had a wonderfull experience. One we won't forget. A very nice and relaxing ride in the mountains and lots of fun and laughs in addition to that. Thank You Finikia Horse Riding for a wonderfull experience❣🙏

My friend and I had a lovely morning with horse riding. Gregory picked us up from our Hotel, and we made 2 more stops for pick up! Gregory was friendly and full of jokes that made us all laugh. We reach the stables and was had coffee before we got ready for our ride. We were given our horses and were helped up if required. 4 of us were beginners and 1 lady was very experienced. The horses are so friendly and gentle and really looked after, I felt very comfortable riding Pina Colada. We headed off up to the mountain walk with Gregory's dog, she had a fabulous time, it was obvious she did this on a regular basis, she was so excited bless her. Once we returned from our amazing walk admiring the views and having a giggle on our walk, we were greeted with homemade lunch and wine. We all had a good natter, there wasn't any rush to head off back to the Hotels either. Overall a brilliant experience, I would certainly do it again and we would recommend it.
