For those looking for a taste of Canada's maple syrup culture, but for those that can't get to Quebec to see a cabane-a-sucre, this place does a pretty good job of it. The attached restaurant is really good, and the farm has walking trails, and tours to show how the sugar gathering takes place. A very Canadian experience, if not... More

My husband, nephew, in-laws and I visited Sugar Moon Farm this past weekend, and had a very nice experience. We started with food. We arrived at around 12:45PM, and the wait to be seated was reasonable, approximately 20 minutes. When seated, service was prompt and our orders came quickly. The food was excellent! For drinks, we had the Sugar Moon... More

It is a long drive from anywhere, the closest town being Truro. They serve a brunch that is ok but nothing out of the ordinary. Yes they serve it with real maple syrup but you can get that anywhere in N.S. including the grocery. They only serve in "settings" as they are trying to run a restaurant without being equipped... Hello Ray - Thanks for your comments. We appreciate your feedback. It sounds like your visit was far from satisfactory and we're very sorry about that. We operate as a licensed, 60 seat restaurant year-round with 20+ staff from the area. We use seasonal, locally sourced producers on our menu and plan on continuing to operate as a farm-based restaurant... More

Pretty treacherous crossing the car park to the entrance due to ice but the Sugar Moon Farm wood cabin in the woods is pure Canadian - roaring log fire, hand carved wooden vignettes telling the story of the farm, antique snow shoes and long wooden benches and tables for customers. This place gets very busy and its seating isn't what... More

Everything maple here. The food, the drinks, the desert! Great place to visit. Food is very good by the way. They also have tours at certain times. Beautiful scenery surrounding the farm.

I enjoyed my visit to this farm. We took the tour of the farm and walked up to the sugar trees to see how the process works. The pancakes and maple syrup were excellent, I would recommend their food based on what we experienced. This farm is in a beautiful part of Nova Scotia and the nearby hikes are nice.

This place is a little off the beaten path, but so worth the trip! We took a dirt road back in the woods for maybe a 1/4 of a mile, tops. The place looks exactly how you'd picture it. A log cabin in the middle of the forest. A cute place, although it could use a little more curb appeal.... More

The pancakes were fantastic, the service was excellent, the ingredients were fresh. What more can you ask for? We purchased a few gifts when we paid for the meal, including a small jar of the maple mustard that was served with the meal (delicious) then we tipped the t off with a small hike from the parking lot. I'm disappointed... More
