We saw there the water of this spring ended, in Carthage, and followed the route of the aqueduct for 132km. A mind-blowing feat of Roman engineering, instigated by the mighty Hadrianus. The site itself is a little underwhelming, so it's really all about your sense of drama and history.

Even though it’s empty of sculptures or decoration, the temple and its settlement is majestic. This semicircular temple, with different levels and stairs, with the Atlas Mountains as a background, is very picturesque.

It was a shame to see teenagers using the ancient aqueduct as a bike ramp.

The Water Temple is a stunning piece of Roman architecture where you can see how the Romans extracted the water and transported it to Chartage via 139 km of aquaduct. The place is really nice, with beautiful landscapes.

I have visited the water temple many times almost every month .
it s a very nice historical reference that shows how romains imported water from Zaghouan to Carthage through el hanaia (build Arc) all the way to Tunis .

This place is pleasant to visit but could be better if it was kept clean. I would recommend taking the car at the top of the hill where the view of the valley is amazing.
Zaghouan is nice to stroll around and is small in size so it is good for a day trip. The Romains were very smart... The water for the city of Carthage was transported from here all the way to Carthage. Very impressive system was used

The history of this temple is fascinating. It's easily accessible by car, but a hike up the mountain (Jebel Zaghouan) to this point is more enjoyable for those who can do it. For families with children or physically challenged people, be careful as there are no safety guards here.

The water temple is significant historically but there is really not much to see except for a single half ruined structure. If you are in the neighborhood, it's worth it to stop by. I don't think it's worth it to make a special trip to see it. There are many impressive Roman ruins in Tunisia, this does not happen to be one of them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. They provide saris, but you must bring your own to go in the cleansing water. It was beautiful and a unique cultural experience.

Seeing the source of the water that the Romans engineered to flow all the way to Carthage is definitely worth the trip. The temple is set in a park like area with a very nice view of the surrounding landscape.
