Agenda beach is one of the very beautiful South Goa beach. It is very famous for yoga lovers and also boat rides for dolphin watch.
We stayed at Agonda beach resort, very beautiful right in front of beach.
It had wooden decor and had a wonderful restaurant serving local as well as international cuisine.
We could hire boats for dolphin watch in the sea and it was serene experience as along with dolphins We could witness beautiful sun set too.
Highly recommended.

Staying in a beach front hut is the way to go. Sunrise walks end to end around 6km.
People watching, volleyball, cricket, soccer, surfing. Sunset watching from the rocks is mesmerising.
Should you choose there’s massages, yoga, sound healing, boat trips and surfing schools.
Loved jumping in the waves.

This is probably the best beach in South Goa. It's more preferred by foreigners than local tourists. Though a bit costly as compared to Palolem, it's totally worth it. The overall vibe of Agonda beach is very friendly and chill.
Budget Stay
1) Cupid Heaven and Dalia Guest House (both opposite each other)
Budget Food
1) Exotica - 99Rs. fixed veg thali (one end of Agonda), Beer also cheaper than other places
2) Other end of Agonda as soon as one cross the river at the junction you will get fresh fish (caught from the river itself daily) in the local hotel at reasonable prize (Bargain to get a good deal)

Very nice beach. Smaller and less populated than Palolem. Natural beauty is great with rocks on one side and beach on the other. There are lots of places to play around and have a bath. Morning boat rides are also available.

Certainly most beautiful beach in Goa.it is located around 47km from Madgaon rail junction in south Goa. You can reach there by gov control taxi or by hired cars.
This is most silent beach in Goa and really feel like walking on foreign beaches as it has attracted lot of overseas travellers.lot of home stay and food options available. Highly recommenced over north Goa beaches ,if you want to explore morning yoga session and in search of inner peace .

We arrived for a 7 day holiday a day ago and we are so in love with agonda already. It’s such a stunning beach with cows and dogs on the sand, and beach huts across the front with various restaurants and bars. It’s so reasonable and everyone is so friendly.

I use to go at this village at India the last 10 years now!
I love everything there,
People, food, the beach ⛱️ is amazing.
I keep the house all the year,
And really feel like the other half of mine,is always there!

Spent a month at Agonda Beach and generally had a great time. Beach is lovely and clean with no annoying beach sellers like at Arambol. Restaurants & accommodation are good but there is a real problem with the growing number of packs of stray dogs living on the beach. I counted 76 walking from one end of the beach to the other and that's just the ones I saw. The dogs are fine most of the time but can become very aggressive when acting as a pack. You will see the locals carrying a stick when on the beach to defend themselves from aggressive dogs. I saw many dog attacks whilst there, including my wife who got bitten and had to have rabies jabs. It's a problem that is only going to get worse if something isn't done to reduce dog numbers. The local animal charity is doing some sterilisation out of season but more needs to be done before someone is seriously injured.

Is there a golf course close to agonda beach?
Written 17 January 2020
No I don't think there is a stand-alone golf course near agonda beach. The Lalit hotel in South Goa has a 9 hole golf course though. Not sure it's only for resident guests or non residents can also pay and play. This you may have to contact the hotel directly and find out.

Hi, I have read there is only one cash machine in Agonda can anyone tell me if this is correct? Staying in beach huts that only take cash for food and drinks and wondering whether to just bring plenty of currency to be on the safe side?
Thanks.

Restaurants and hotels in Agonda accept payment through Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.

We are looking at booking a family trip next Easter to Agonda Beach so will be there in early April. Will things still be open and the beach huts still there?
Written 13 November 2019
There are always places open, just less of them in April, as there are fewer tourists. Beach huts might not be available (turtle nesting) but there are plenty of places just off the beach :-)

Not but be prepared.

I read Agonda Beach beach front resorts/hostels & cafes/restaurants are closed for tourism due to environmental issues. Is this true? Does anyone have any more details to share? I cannot confirm this detail via search.
