About
The waterfall has altogether height of 19 meters because the stages are so close one to another that we can say there is one multiple stage waterfall. You can start your walk from Nomenj village and in about 20 min you will reach the sight of Grmečica waterfall. There is no official parking places at starting point, so we recommend to take a bus from Bohinjska Bistrica to Nomenj, where you can find free parking places.

Quite tricky to find - but once we’d got there it was glorious. Pretty chilly swim! Scary jump. Highly recommended.
PS We parked up by the main road. We made the mistake of crossing the field - that’s the wrong way. Cut under the road through a random tunnel & then follow the track down to the river. You can drive down - but beware of the comments of others about parking. There’s an exciting wobbly bridge to walk over and then you turn right along the cycle track. Turn diwn a ‘river bed’ type track on left hand side

Slap Grmecica is a small but nice waterfall - the hike is easy to walk, Biggest challence is to trust the signs and really take the gravel road (left handed at Railway Station Nomenj when driving in direction to Bohinj Lake !) --> drive back and under the Railway track then Right and after 600 Meter you find Parking sign etc..Then walk to the Bridge, enjoy Wonderful water of Bohijnska sava and then Right to the waterfall

We went there in July after some rain. The path and walk is easy (although a bit muddy at times). Unfortunately there was no water, so we only saw the location, not the waterfall itself.
BEWARE. To reach the place you have to go into a small gravel road at a restaurant between Bled and Bohinj. The path leads to a parking place but when we got back to our car we had a 60 euro fine! Apparently only canyoning people or land owners can park there. Another (slovenian) car had the same fine. Utterly ridiculous if you ask me because there's no where else to park + there's no machine or anything so this is just robbery.
