This was once the summer retreat of Tipu Sultan. It’s a good place for hiking and birding. The hill also has temples dating back to the Chola period. It gets extremely crowded on weekends. The hills offer great views of the surroundings, though.

This is one of the favourite spot of techies in Bangalore. This is considered as starting point for a rider. It's 60-70km away from city, so need to take a 2-3 hour journey. You need to take airport road for going to Nandi Hills. After passing airport link road, you will reach a signal and you need to take left... More

A great place for bikers. The ride from Bangalore till the top of the hill is fantastic especially when taken up early in the morning. There are some vantage points from where the views are really good and climate is very pleasent through out the year for early morning bike ride. Of late with temperatures rising, it gets a bit... So, we planned to visit this place on a weekend. The gate at the base opens around 6. I visited this place 3 years back and I could hardly see around 10 vehicles parked at the top. This time even though we were in the winding roads at around 6.15 a.m there was a lot of rush and when we... More

This is the first place people wish to visit when they come and stay in Bangalore for a while as it's hardly within 75 kms (from IIM, Bannerghatta Road). Have to take a diversion from Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway. Nice road till the top. Preferred with bikes. Too crowded on all the weekends and holidays, though nothing special about the place.... More

Nandi Hill is the favorite destination for all Bangalore's. However these days it got over crowded. Even you will see traffic jams and may have to fight for parking your cars. The hill view is good. Best time to visit is morning before sunrise. This hill is good only for a Morning Long Drive and good view. You can also... More

I was more than excited when my colleagues gave great reviews about this place with clouds all around. But once u reach the place u get hit by reality. Firstly on weekends the rush is huge. There is huge cars waiting as the police barricade at the foot hill is opened at 6am. Then you have to purchase the entry... More

This place is worth visiting from Bangalore. Don't expect a great hill station, but you can visit on weekend with family. The Advantage for this place is the distance from Bangalore. It is hardly 3 to 4 hours journey from any point of Bangalore. Only we have to bear Airport traffic. Once you cross the airport, you don't have traffic... More
