Another stunning Palace in beautiful park, about 1 hr out of the city centre of St Petersburg. Very well restaurated, beautiful rooms. Snowy winter landscape added to the nostalgy. Unfortunately very crowded.

Very beautiful gardens. Unbelievable grandeur and opulence. It was too much to take in everything. I really enjoyed seeing the Amber Room.

Not to be missed but better to spend a whole day there, prefereably in early autumn, when colours are great. BEst tip, Go by train from Vitevskii railway station, around 180 rubles return ticket, and from Puskin railway station (Tsarskoye Selo), take a Marshrutka which eill leave you just 200 metres from the palace

Worth a visit and a nice escape from the city. Line up early if you go during peak times (first week of January!) we waited 2 hours in -9 to get in. It was worth the wait! Get the audio guide.

The rooms in the palace are stunning and have all had to be restored after WW2. A must see in St Petersburg

Two hours and a half queue under the snow for a visit that last 20 minutes. Staff speaks only russian , no english. All people working there were unpolite. The place is completely disorganized. Rushing from a room to another in a huge crowd of people. At the end we lost a full day for this visit that wasn't worth... More

We took a tour in April, when the temperature was around freezing but were dressed for the weather. The tour explained some very important aspects of the history of St Petersburg. As we approached the palace a small group of musicians asked the tour guide where we were from and as we walked by they played an American and then English... More

Located approx 40 mins from Saint Petersburg, the palace is a gem and a must see. Love the interior deco and especially the Amber Room. Too back pictures are not allowed in the Amber Room. The grounds of the palace is beautiful as well and worth some time strolling around even if it's cold.

We managed to avoid the crowds by going over the Christmas period. Words are inadequate to describe the splendour, and you start to see why there was a revolution.
