The beach is beautiful. The water is extremely dangerous. We had to save a man from drowning. Not cool

This is a very beautiful beach, with enough space to walk and enjoy the sand. It has places where you can order food to eat in the beach

you have to see the view to believe it. the jungle covered mountains jutting out into the ocean from both sides of the beach makes for one incredible scene.

Such a hidden gem, gorgeous beach and great food and drinks at mami’s beach bar. Friendly owner and WiFi! Had such a wonderful afternoon relaxing here! Recommend renting a bike near by and riding through the town especially if you’re staying at the Dominican treehouse village!

The waves at this beach are strong.
It’s a public beach therefore parts of it are not the cleanest.
It’s beautiful though excellent for photos.

We were actually looking for what an old tour link had said was a coffee plantation that offered tours. Needless to say it no longer existed but in our journey of trying to find out where we were, we got referred to an Eco-hotel where we found someone who spoke English. Turns out we were only about 0.5 kms from the ocean at that point and didn't know it. Well worth the drive, although the 1st time we were there the surf was crazy and no one was swimming. The week after was only slightly milder and many were in enjoying the waves

My husband and I stayed at the Dominican Treehouse Village. They gave us bikes to ride to Playa El Valle. We ate at the restaurant on the beach. The food was AMAZING! Then we took a boat ride with Alex's Boat Excursion to the beach that is just across the water from Playa El Valle. Playa El Valle is super peaceful and will give you a nice beach day experience. I LOVED riding in the motorboat on the ocean!

The beach was just wonderful, with long golden stretch of sand and some fishermen canoes good for pictures. The valley flanked by towering bluffs was my favorite part of the landscape. The place was really quiet and beautiful. There aren't that much of coconuts palms or tree shadows, though.

Playa El Valle is a serene beach tucked away on the Samana Peninsula in the Dominican Republic. From Playa El Valle, take a short 15 minute boat ride to Playa Hermitaño. Words are hard to describe it. Absolutely Breathtaking.

Beautiful beach that is only a short bike ride from Dominican Tree House Village. Perfect day is to zip line in the morning and bike to the beach for lunch and swimming.

Its about a 45 minute drive from Samana. At the tree house, it was a bike ride away, approximately 5 minutes.

Hi, We are staying in Santa Barbara de Samana in May. Can anyone tell me how far to Playa el Valle and is it possible to cycle there without busting a gut.

Hi we are going to stay in Samana for a week in December. Can we drive around the peninsula without a 4x4 SUV, with just a car? I heard that playa de Valle is the toughest destination on the peninsula to get to. Please advise - how did you get there?

Hello,
We didn't rent a car as we stayed at the Dominican Tree House Village and had them pick us up at the airport. There were some guests who got a rental from the airport. Some had a car, some had an SUV. It would be safe to be in an SUV because some of the interior roads are rough and some of them you have to navigate through small streams. The highway from Santo Domingo airport to Samana though is well paved. As for Playa el Valle, I don't know about it being the toughest destination because we simply biked going there from the Tree House Village. It is a dirt road going to the beach and it took us about 15 minutes. But once you get there, it is simply beautiful!
