This is a place where one of my dream came true: camping by the lake. Lake Danao is Ormoc City's most precious gem and I completely agree. Aweing to its tranquil and relaxing environment, the lake is a great place for swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, and even camping. You might have to travel for an hour to get there and... More

Disappointed by brochure pictures, not that scenic, no boats at that time to travel the lake. Road was very rough and narrow. We stayed about one hour then left.

When you go visit, stop over at the view deck first to fully enjoy the beautiful view. You can then go down the trail for a little adventure. You can rent one of the cottages. You have the option of staying near the shore or float to the middle of the lake, where you can go swimming in the cool... More

There was a 10 peso fee before entering the park. They have some sheltered areas that cost per day. 500 was the cheapest available. It is about a 15-20 minute drive from ormoc city. The ride to lake Danao is very hilly but very nice scenery on the way. If you are in a group of more than 10 then... More

Lake Danao will surely demand you to just sit down and relax. This Lake is majestic, lovely, serene, and romantic. Unknown to many tourists, this place is surely a must when visiting Southern Leyte especially Ormoc City. Spend a day just adoring the foggy mountains around you and the cold wind in a boat, more like "floating house". The winds... More

Had a blast! First time swimming in a Lake... I forgot the name of the local delicacy they have (shellfish sisig)... over-priced and not a fan either... but over-all experience was great!

Nice view from the lake. It's a forestal park to relax and unwind away from the noisest city. It's a quite place to relax with friends or family, having a picnic here is enjoyable, clean waters in the lagoon or having a good time with a floating cottage. Safe for swimming.

The lake is just few minutes drive from Ormoc City Proper. If you are on bike, the location is ascending to the mountains. The road is concrete since the Geothermal plant is situated on the mountains overlooking Ormoc City. You will be presented of the lake in the middle of the mountains. There are few cottages in place but the... More
