Taco was our guide. He provided us with explicit directions to this preserve, met us at the train stop, provided a spotting scope , transportation via personal car to over 5 local habitats & could bird by sight and ear. Easily understood and spoke English.

We quickly were able to see chiffchaffs ,tits, even a Bluethroat & Ouzel. Both my sister and I marveled at the abundance of species presented on this lovely clear day. I think even Taco relished his time birding. His email of sightings identified over 60 birds from grasslands, wetlands and trees from these "low land" countrysides.

I personally am a beginner to birding, but was thrilled at our good luck weather, the bird activity and the challenge to my abilities. My sister marveled at the experience during our first time in the Netherlands. These 4.5 hrs. were a highlight of our 10 day stay . We were saddened to say "goodbye" to this delightful guide and extended an invitation to visit Va. Bch, Va. or/& Tucson, Az.

Beautiful nature reserve with biking and walking paths, lots of trees, water, birds, green areas. The signing of routes could be better.

A very large natural park which need to be done by bike. It can also be done by foot but you will never have the possibility to do the complete park.

Great place to go to to have a walk and see some animals. You can see a lot of birds and also Koniks horses which is great if you “catch” them. Also there are tours which are very nice. There are also set out routes that you can follow by foot or by bike

I had some expectations for this place, even though I had read some terrible reviwes as well. Sadly, I have to agree with them.

A man-made national park where the horses are skinny and doesn’t look healthy at all. I also visited the tree bird observation towers, and where not impressed. Seems like noone takes care of this place even though people are working in the reception and the restaurant....

I did take the long route, still the highlights from my visit were the barn swallows offspring in the observation tent close to the entrance and some European goldfinches close to the restaurant.

Very vast area, nice for a walk. We were kinda limited in time and just took the 3.3km walk. And saw some wild horses. Outpost center is quit recent and has bathroom facilities and you can have a drink and a bite to eat there.

A shame, lots of the contributions here are about the controversy about the place. Just go for a walk here and enjoy the scenery!
