The walk up to this castle for amazing Brisighella is a job on its own specially in a sunny day, but when you arrive it is worth the effort, very picturesque medieval castle but be aware it only opens on weekends.

Well worth the walk. And worth climbing up to the top of the tower. Fabulous views from all sides across the valley. Very interesting.

Take note that the castle opens at 10am and if you go early to climb the hill on a hot day to beat the heat, you will not be able to enter (as was the case for me). However, you can walk all around it...More

Which you may very well do if you climb the wrong way.....it is a splendid pile with magnificent views and you can drive almost right to the door. But watch opening times.
