We loved this! There were enough rooms renovated to make us envision ourselves living or visiting here centuries before, but enough ruins to imagine what it might have looked like. The tower had amazing views! And there is a drawbridge!!

Although not as 'old' as I usually prefer, the castle was gorgeous and beautifully maintained. 5 euro to tour on your own. A slight uphill walk from the town of Bingen. They allow photos. Some of the castles do not. The view of the Rhine...More
