Unless you take a guide, it's not worth going as you will be looking at things without a clue. We had an English speaking guide with. Staff don't speak English. Well kept and interesting. Very small. Only needs about 20 minutes maximum.
This museum is a bit difficult to find, and it has moved a couple of times, which makes asking around quite difficult. Once you get in, there is a short hallway with some famous portraits and photographs, and then a medium sized room with rows...More
The museum has recently moved into an old Russian building and is not finished yet. There are a number of rocks from different parts of the country and some interesting memorabilia.You really don't need more then an hour yo see it all
If you pass through Khorog, it is worth spending one hour in this museum. Unfortunately, it needs a serious renovation, and it is poorly maintained (although 3 or 4 members of staff were sitting idle in the lobby). Everything is in Russian only.
