This is an awesome place to visit. The gondola ride is very cool and the site is reminiscent of Machu Picchu. Extremely interesting. It pays to have a good guide that can explain the site in detail. Ours was wonderful and very informative. Lots of...More

Kuélap itself is a remarkable feat of construction - a walled citadel on a towering ridge, from a culture that predated the Incas. This was a return trip for us after two years, during which much has changed there. Most obviously, the long winding drive...More

Visited Kuelab with my parents, really enjoyed the 20 min cable car ride with spectacular views on the surrounding area. An absolute must for anyone interested in Chachapoyas culture, an impressive example of pre-Incan architecture.

Anybody in the area who does not visit Kuélap is truly missing out. Especially now that the cable cars will take you there in a matter of minutes, missing this site would be like skipping Machu Picchu. Work is in progress to conserve the site...More

This place was a sacred city to which every culture at their time refer to seek wisdom even the Inkas. To get here you have take a flight from Lima to Jaén, then by road to Chachapoyas. There is a new lift system made by...More

We went on a longer trip with Adventure Life Tours and had a great time, but I couldn't say who could do a day trip. Sometimes it's worth getting your hotel to organise a car and driver. Whoever you go with make sure they... More
