Parking fee will apply, parking ticket valid for 2 hours. If you go up to the castle, around and down, 2h is enough, but most likely it will take you 3, especially if you are with children. There is a playground under the castle and...More

This castle is on the on the way from Zilina do Ruzomberok, very impossible to oversee. Very nicely preserved ruin with lots of attractive and interesting events all year round.

I really like where this castle is situated, it's like from a fairytale :) The view from the top is nice! There is also this little wooden village on the way up and some information boards. The place is well looked after.

An enjoyable half-day spent at Strecno. Tour lasts about an hour, and included a surprise musical performance in the castle's chapel. I'm not sure if this is in tours all of the time, or if I just got lucky on the day. Laminated information sheets...More
