There was rubbish everywhere. Bits of cars, general litter and dog crap everywhere. The paths weren't marked, which made it very difficult to navigate. This could and should be a good tourist attraction, but currently it's a mess and I wouldn't bother.

Again been for a gorgeous walk around Danes dyke. Through the woods picking fruit off of the bushes on the way. We collect wild garlic earlier in the year from here also. I recommend that you talk to the cafe lady and she will give...More

Ample reasonably priced car parking but we usually walk from Sewerby. Nice walks through woodland and along the beach and a lovely place to spend a few hours. We stopped for refreshments and used the toilet facilities on this occasion. We both had a freshly...More

We visited Danes Dyke expected some nice walking and a pretty beach with our 5 year old daughter and her grandma. We were pleasantly surprised by the choice of walks and realised we should have packed a picnic and spent the day. However, the absolute...More

Danes Dyke is a warren if woodland paths that weave amongst the trees. There are trees, flowers and plants of all kinds and you can literally spend hours there. There is a small cafe in Rotherham main season and car park charges are reasonable. If...More

I found this wooded area dark and damp. Dull, uninteresting walk through the woods to the beach but the beach itself is beautiful, especially for dogs to run on. Beach size limited by boulders that cannot be walked over without huge difficulty. Very steep climb...More

Nice wooded area worth the cliff top walk. Not keen on the teenagers riding mountain bikes in the wood, dangerous for both the riders and walkers and its damaging the floria, also sad to see litter such as beer cans in the wood.
