We took a short hike around the small town and came upon this beautiful church. We did not stop to go inside. Be sure you get the map from the Tourist Information place. The town is very small and it's hard to get lost.

Would have loved to have seen the inside in person, but we arrived late in the day, and the church was locked. Otherwise, it's a picture perfect little church in a beautiful setting that looks like it could be used in Fairy Tale books. Absolutely,...More

We didn’t see this church, but it’s on one of the short hikes you can do in town in your free time. You can pick up a map at the Tourist Office near the dock. We took, and recommend, the Yellow Trail hike by the...More

Small church at centre of village has now been replaced by a new church. Not sure whether this is still in use. Small grassed church yard with graves

This is a quaint stone church built in the 1300s. It is worth the hike up the hill to enjoy the landscape in a back drop of beautiful mountains. The church is surrounded by an old cemetery. Story behind the construction of the church is...More

I am sorry I couldn’t go inside this cute church. It was a nice up hill walk to see it and the graveyard next to it. This is a small town with just a few restaurants.

Great to take a walk around the church, hear the history, see the surrounding mountains, and enjoy the beauty of the grounds around the church

This was the last stop on our City Troll Train Tour. Just to see a church form the 12th century was incredible. The inside is closed off but, you can see through the bars and get a good view. Try to stroll the cemetery as...More

Worth the walk up from the port to see this old church and the cemetery. They only allow you to look inside as the floor is not safe, but to me it is worth seeing the historical site. And it is also on the "blue"...More

We just visited on a cruise (I know this is long after the original question, but may help others), and after the cruise-provided visit to a nearby nature center, we visited the tourist office by the Eidfjord dock and picked... More
