The Vltava River is the magnificent river that flows through Prague and is a joy to view.
There are lots of great bridges that span this mighty river none more so impressive or historic than Charles Bridge, the river itself is wonderful, taking a cruise along the Vltava River offers great views of the wonderful architecture that defines this city ,if you're planning a holiday to Prague its most definitely well worth checking out.

No holiday to Prague would be complete without a walk along the Vltava River ,in fact it's impossible to visit Prague and not view the Vltava River.
The Vltava River is a beautiful river that flows through the " city of a hundred spires " ,it's the longest river that flows through the Czech Republic ,I think there are 18 bridges in Prague that cross the Vltava River and all offer amazing views of the river ,obviously the most famous is Charles Bridge ,another great way to enjoy the river is to take one of the many cruise boats that offer tours along the Vltava River were you can view many great buildings that line the riverbank ,all in all a great river to check out if you're planning a holiday to Prague.

Nice walkways along the river. Great views of the Charles Bridge and wonderful scene across the river with the Prague Castle towering above on the hill overlooking the valley.

It's a beautiful walk along the river with great views to Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. Start at the Dancing Houses to see those and then head toward the Charles Bridge.

Hired pedlos for an hour on the river and followed their advised path. As it was so relaxing both myself and my partner had a little snooze! Lovely to see some of the wildlife on and at the side of the river.

The River Vltava is a beautiful river that flows through the " City Of A Hundred Spires " ,,it's the longest river in the Czech Republic ,there are I think 18 bridges in Prague crossing over this river that's just a joy to admire ,along the riverbank are some great boat bars and restaurants ,nothing better than enjoying a beer on a beer boat and watching the river flow by,there's plenty of tourist river cruises that offer great opportunities of seeing this beautiful city from the vantage point of the river ,seeing Charles Bridge up close is amazing,a beautiful river flowing through a beautiful city ,well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Prague.

Vltava (or Moldau in German) is 430 kilometers long and the longest river within the Czech Republic. The river flows across Bohemia when it finally merges with the Elbe.

We could admire it in Prague as it flows through the city. The best-known bridge crossing it is Charles Bridge from 1402.

Vltava River separates Mala Strana (Lesser Town) on its left bank and Stare Mesto (Old Town), Nove Mesto (New Town) on its right bank. Stroll leisurely along its banks, then cross Charles Bridge.

Growing up in the house on the Vltava riverbank, ( Nabrezi Legii ) , Mala Strana side, was truly an amazing experience and opportunity to take advantage of all the fun activities on the water.

Small wooden riverboats were available to rent , the large steamboats passing under our windows with music playing in the summer. The ice skating in the winter.
The great view of the National Theater across the river.

The small islands - Shooters and Zofin - were and still are easily accessible and fun in every season.

The Vltava river was an inspiration the famous Czech composer Bedrich Smetana for Ma Vlast symphony.
